A product of Southern Oklahoma, I was transplanted early on into the backdrop of 80s and 90s Midwestern America, where I had a small-town upbringing growing up in Southern Indiana just across the bridge from Louisville. However, being the son of a long-haul truck driver afforded me a lot of exposure to a traveling lifestyle and many different cultures. I often spent weeks at a time bouncing around in the sleeper of an eighteen-wheeler, traveling across the U.S, stopping in various towns for deliveries and at truck stops along the way. These experiences played a huge role in how I consumed and understood the world.
I’ve always been driven by creativity. A lover of advertising and branding from a young age, I would often recreate my favorite logos and marketing materials in the pages of my notebooks. It wasn’t until my late teens that I began to realize these interests could make me a little money. In the late 90s, I started designing visuals for local bands, including websites, merchandise, and graphic apparel. As my reputation grew, so did my clientele, this led to me getting some bigger opportunities and paving the way for collaborations with renowned musical acts and beyond.
Building brands and taking names
In the mid-2000s, I entered a transformative chapter, becoming a multifaceted creative at a global corporation. There, I had the privilege of providing B2B counsel to prominent brands such as Disney, Pixar, Starbucks, Nike, ABC, Viacom, Adidas, to name a few. Immersed in these iconic brands' ecosystems, I gained invaluable insights into crafting global icons and honed my expertise under the guidance of industry powerhouses.
My career has been built around helping businesses find their voice and connect with audiences in meaningful ways. My path in design and brand development has taken me from small-town roots to collaborating with a diverse range of clients—from startups to established brands, while leading powerhouse teams dedicated to making a lasting impact. I’m grateful for what I’ve been able to see and accomplish this far, and cant wait for whats next!
